Little outing

A couple minutes up the street there is a great mall. They displayed some reindeer for a few hours, so I took Mia to go see. Zach stayed home with the twins and studied, 'cause it was kind of rainy and we figured they wouldn't enjoy it anyway.

The guy who brought the reindeer said they are a cross between caribou and deer, and that they lose and regrow their antlers every year!

There was also a huge tree. A gal suggested we take turns taking each other's picture. When it was our turn, I think her husband misunderstood me when I said "us in front of the tree," and heard "we would like a picture of the Cheesecake Factory." You can see me starting to tell him to point the camera down and to the left. Whatever.
There was also a huge set up of four different trains loaded with presents on four winding tracks. Mia was a lot more interested in them than the reindeer- "It's coming! Here it comes!!" I can't blame her- the reindeer weren't moving and carrying presents on their backs.
Another thing families were taking turns on was the Nativity. Not to view it- to let their kids ride on it. Each of the parents watched their kids, kind of awkwardly giggling, not sure if the display was meant for such things. It was right out in the middle of the square, and the sturdy looking animals were perfectly sized and situated...

Fun little spot. It was nice to have some alone time with Mimi. I'm looking forward to being able to take the whole family to do stuff like this.

I love the new festive background. Whole family outings are fun but I'm sure Mia loved having mom all to herself. That, and riding a nativity camel, and being sweet to the baby Jesus. I love it.

I bet Mia loved spending the alone time with you. Looks like a lot of fun! And cold. Though, with that schnazzy coat of hers...she was probably warm :D

My mother in law just gave me a great nativity set and it's VERY similar to that one you guys went to. Precious photos...well except the cheesecake factory one...that was just funny.

Come on. Doesn't everyone want their Christmas picture in front of the Cheesecake factory? :)

Is that tree real? How can that tree be real? It isn't real... Looked like a lot of fun.

Oh, I am so relieved to learn you live so close to a Cheesecake Factory! And it looks like there's a Crate and Barrel, too. Lucky you!

That IS a really cool spot, especially for preschoolers.

Christmas tree...Cheesecake Factory, both real yummy! I love how the kids could just play on the nativity, nothing closer to teaching them the story than letting them be hands on. And cool reindeer. Coop asked me today if Rudolph was real or did we just make him up. Dangit, I am afraid of what the next question may be, I just want him to believe forever....

That lookes so fun. And my biggest complaint when asking people to take pictures for me is they don't the picture I want.....and so I end up in no pictures so I can get the ones I want.....OCD? Maybe!

BTW, if they dont want kids to ride the animals they need to put a fence up, that is just so asking for kids to come and ride them.

Have a great day.

So fun. :-) I really need to take Princess out for some one-on-one time.

Love the pictures, even that one where you two barely made it into the frame... ;-)
